[BREAKING NEWS] Saudi Arabia Monarch, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz is dead

According to reports from sky.com King Abdullah Saudi Arabia’s monarch has been pronounced died and his brother Salman has become the kingdom’s new ruler.
Sources say that he had done surgery in recent years related to a herniated disc, and was hospitalised in December for pneumonia. The monarch is believed to be 91-years-old, although his actual age has not been verified.
King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz took power in 2005 after the death of his half-brother King Fahd.

BIRD FLU : Now In Seven States With 140000 Poultry Birds Affected And 22000 Killed

The Federal government says the highly transmittable Avian Influenza viral disease also known as Bird flu has spread to five more states asides Lagos and Kaduna where the first cases were recorded in Nigeria.

The states with the latest cases of the disease in poultry animals include Ogun, Delta, Rivers, Edo and Plateau states.

The government, while stating that over 140 , 000 birds were affected in different poultry farms, said cases of Bird Flu (Avian Influenza) have been unravelled on some poultry farms in Ogun , Delta and Cross Rivers.

It , however , assured that the disease has not become an epidemic as everything is being done to curtail its spread. The government had last week raised the alarm over a possible public outbreak of the disease in Lagos and Kano States.

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina, at a media briefing in Abuja , said that although the reported cases were due to H5N 1, the biotype was not immediately discovered .

Adesina said : “We are not in a state of any epidemic . Seven states have so far reported cases of the bird flu – Kano , Lagos , Ogun, Delta and Rivers , Edo and Plateau States . The most affected state has been Kano , where the initial case of the bird flu was found .

“In all of these states , different levels of interventions, including depopulation, decontamination and quarantine are currently ongoing .”

The minister said that a total of 140, 390 birds have been associated with bird flu exposures , with 22, 173 ( 15 percent) mortality recorded so far.

He also said that about 103, 445 birds have reportedly been exposed to the infection in Kano State , with 15 ,963 ( 15 percent ) mortality reported , while 31, 195 and 3, 347 ( 11% ) mortality has been reported in Lagos State.

According to him, 15 commercial farms and nine Live Bird Markets have been affected in the five states to date

The project arrived on Tuesday night, and it’s meant to tide over until his oft-delayed Tha Carter V is released. At this point, Wayne is done with all pretenses, claiming that he’s responsible for Cash Money’s success and now he wants to be paid his proper dues.
The mixtape’s opening track “Coco” is probably the most vicious of them all, with pretty much the entire track dedicated to the falling out with Birdman.
“I’m sorry for the wait…Tha Carter gon’ be late so I cooked up a tape,” Wayne spits. “The garden’s full of snakes so I had to escape.”
And even though he’s not on good terms with Baby, he’s still got two of the hottest rappers in the game, “I ain’t trippin’, I got Barbie, I got Drake too.”
That said, he’s taking full responsibility for Cash Money’s success, especially after the label’s first round of stars like Juvenile, Turk and producer Mannie Fresh left years ago. “Who kept this sh-t together? N—a me, that’s who/ Who was there when n—as left? N—a me/That’s who,” he raps. “Cash Money is an army, I’m a one man army.”
And don’t even think about calling him Birdman’s son anymore. “Birdman Jr? More like Ugly Duckling.”
“All I got is Young Money, no more Cash, n—a,” he continued, later adding, “The day you met me is when hell froze/ On the day I left is when it thawed out/ I’m still in the buildin’, I just have to knock a couple walls down.”

The woman-on-top position during intercourse was deemed responsible for half of all penile fractures sustained during sex in cases recorded at three hospitals, according to researchers in Brazil. Scientists say this may be because the woman controls the penis with her entire body weight landing on it and is unable to interrupt it when it suffers a ‘wrong way penetration’. The harm is usually minor for her and with no pain - but major in the penis. Positions involving the woman on all fours was involved in 29 per cent of fractures. Meanwhile, the safest position in the bedroom was revealed as the man-on-top or ‘missionary position’. The authors examined the cases of the 44 men who attended three hospitals in the city of Campinas, Brazil, with a suspected fractured penis over a thirteen year period. Forty-two of the cases were confirmed by doctors. Twenty-eight fractures were sustained during heterosexual sex, four during homosexual sex, six after “penis manipulation” and four in circumstances which remain unclear. Half of the patients described hearing an audible crack and feeling pain after the incident. Most attended hospital within the next five or six hours. The authors noted that the injury is relatively uncommon and can cause embarrassment among those who do suffer a fractured penis, meaning they often put off seeking medical treatment. The paper concluded: "Our study supports the fact that sexual intercourse with 'woman on top' is the potentially riskiest sexual position related to penile fracture. "When the man is controlling the movement, he has better chances of stopping the penetration energy in response to the pain related to the penis harm, minimising it." The study was first published in the journal Advances in Urology in April 2014.

Aregbesola planning to disrupt tribunal sitting – Omisore

Aregbesola planning to disrupt tribunal sitting – Omisore - The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, Iyiola Omisore, has accused the Osun State governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, of planning to use political thugs to prevent the Election Petitions Tribunal hearing matters arising from August 9 Osun governorship election from sitting on Friday (tomorrow). Omisore’s media aide, Mr. Victor Oriola, said this in a statement made available to our correspondent in Osogbo on Wednesday.

The panel has shifted the adoption of written addresses by the parties involved in the case from January 28 to Friday, January 23.

Omisore claimed that Aregbesola had concluded plans to use “state boys” to pose as members of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria to prevent the parties in the suit from adopting their addresses on the adjourned date.

The statement read, “Series of meetings have been held in Osogbo by a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress with the state standing army codenamed “state boys” to scuttle the process.

“The mode of operation is for the “state boys” to pose as JUSUN members and prevent the tribunal members and lawyers from gaining access to the court premises on Friday.

“This is one of the latest in the series of assaults on the judiciary by Governor Rauf Aregbesola, who has come to his wits end after his witnesses failed woefully to defend the case of massive rigging preferred against him after the August 9 gubernatorial election by Senator Iyiola Omisore.

“While we sympathise with JUSUN members for the delay in implementing the autonomy for the judiciary workers by the state governors across the country, which necessitated the strike action, we also want to appeal to JUSUN not to allow its members to be dragged into partisan politics.”

However, the governor on Wednesday debunked the allegation levelled against him Omisore.

Aregbesola, in a statement made available to our correspondent by his media aide, Mr. Semiu Okanlawon, described the alarm raised by the opposition as an attempt to divert attention from the crime they wanted to perpetrate.

He said, “We must view this as an alert to all security agencies to watch out for the PDP and its army of thugs who obviously must have concluded their plans to cause mayhem in the state. It is therefore pertinent for the security agents to be prepared to arrest anybody who causes any breach of the peace in the state under whatever guise.

“The first reasonable question that the PDP and its leaders must be asked is to produce any evidence of their imaginary plot by Aregbesola, aides or any of his associates.

“To all right-thinking people, is it logical for a sitting governor to cause mayhem in his territory where he has restored and maintained peace in the last four years and more in order to engender development?

“Nigerians know the PDP for what it is: a bunch of political rascals always calculating on the next issue it can manipulate to confuse and hoodwink the people. But it is gratifying to know that Nigerians are wiser than PDP’s antics and are therefore ready always to condemn their puerile allegations into the dustbins.”

Happily, enough, by 9p.m; the Head of State was bouncing and receiving visitors until much later when General Jeremiah Timbut Useni, the then Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, came calling. He was fond of the Head of State. They were very good friends.

They stayed and chatted together till about 3.35a.m. A friend of the house was with me in my office and as he was bidding me farewell, he came back to inform me that the FCT Minister, General Useni was out of the Head of State’s Guest House within the Villa. I then decided to inform the ADC and other security boys that I would be on my way home to prepare for the early morning event at the International Conference Centre.
At about 5a.m; the security guards ran to my quarters to inform me that the Head of State was very unstable. At first, I thought it was a coup attempt. Immediately, I prepared myself fully for any eventuality.

As an intelligence officer and the Chief Security Officer to the Head of State for that matter, I devised a means of diverting the attention of the security boys from my escape route by asking my wife to continue chatting with them at the door – she was in the house while the boys were outside. From there, I got to the Guest House of the Head of State before them.

When I got to the bedside of the Head of State, he was already gasping. Ordinarily, I could not just touch him. It was not allowed in our job. But under the situation on ground, I knelt close to him and shouted, “General Sani Abacha, Sir, please grant me permission to touch and carry you.” I again knocked at the stool beside the bed and shouted in the same manner, yet he did not respond. I then realized there was a serious danger. I immediately called the Head of State’s personal physician, Dr. Wali, who arrived the place under eight minutes from his house.

He immediately gave Oga – General Abacha – two doses of injection, one at the heart and another close to his neck. This did not work apparently as the Head of State had turned very cold. He then told me that the Head of State was dead and nothing could be done after all.
I there and then asked the personal physician to remain with the dead body while I dashed home to be fully prepared for the problems that might arise from the incident. As soon as I informed my wife, she collapsed and burst into tears. I secured my house and then ran back.
At that point, the Aide-de-Camp had been contacted by me and we decided that great caution must be taken in handling the grave situation.
