Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea lead the race to sign Sami
Khedira on a free transfer at the end of the season. The German World
Cup winner has yet to sign a new deal at Real Madrid and is chasing a
huge cash sum should he move.
Manchester City are set to offer Sergio Ramos a €10 million-a-year
contract. The Spain international's contract at Real Madrid expires in
2017 but he is keen to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu
Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is resigned to missing out on
Borussia Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels, but is ready to move for BVB
team-mate Neven Subotic instead, while Aston Villa's Ron Vlaar is also
on his radar.
Manchester United will reignite their bid to sign Juventus' Arturo
Vidal this January, though they also want to sign the Chilean's
team-mate Angelo Ogbonna. The Red Devils are eyeing a €65 million deal
as Louis van Gaal looks for reinforcements.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is ready to launch a bid for Napoli
striker Gonzalo Higuain, who is unsettled in Naples. The Serie A side
are already plotting a move for Jackson Martinez as a replacement, who
had been high on Arsene Wenger's wishlist.
David Moyes is on Newcastle United's radar to replace under-fire boss
Alan Pardew. The 53-year-old saw his side succumb to Stoke City on
Monday and the Scottish coach, who flopped at Manchester United, leads
the race to replace him.
Arsene Wenger has sent Arsenal scouts to watch West Ham's 15-year-old
sensation Reece Oxford. The Gunners boss had the teenager, likened to
Rio Ferdinand, appraised in the Hammers' Under-21 victory over
Sunderland.
Mikel Arteta is the latest Arsenal player to agree a contract
extension with the club. The Gunners captain will sign a deal until 2016
which will be announced next week, while Theo Walcott is also expected
to renew with the north Londoners.
Fiorentina are ready to make a loan move for Corinthians forward
Alexandre Pato -currently on loan at Sao Paulo - in the January transfer
window as they are looking to add some more depth to their attack.
Bayern Munich are considering making a move for Wolfsburg defender
Ricardo Rodriguez at the end of the 2014-15 campaign, with the
left-back's contract due to expire in June 2016.
